Sennheiser RS 180 Digital Wireless Headphones

First, let me say that these come highly recommended. Sennheiser fixed some of the problems that plagued their previous wireless headphones. Pros: 1) Headphones stay on, regardless of source volume level. This is a hassle with the RS 130s as they shut off when the volume was low. 2) Integrated charger/transmitter means no batteries to replace and the phones are always handy. 3) Looks far better than the RS 120s or 130s. If you've got to look at them all the time then they should look good and these do. 4) Phones charge faster than the RS 130s. 5) You never hear static or noise from these headphones. When you get to the limit of the range they just cut off. 6) Adjustable balance control is a handy feature that, although seldom used, is completely absent on most headphones. Cons: 1) Pricey (but worth it) 2) You've got to manually turn on both the phones and the transmitter. I guess you could just leave the transmitter on and save a step, but I'd rather not. 3) Hard to find those little buttons on the phones to adust the volume. You've got to memorize what they do and find them by touch. Too easy to accidentally turn the phones off when all you wanted to do was adjust the volume. 4) Range is low. I've had wireless headphones that you could use outside of the house, but these cut off at around 40 feet. That said, these are no worse than the RS 130s. - Customer Reviews
